6 years agoToronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jake Gardiner dished out two assists in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to Detroit. The Leafs looked lethargic for most of the night, but Gardiner ended up having a very good game, logging a team-high 23:45 and finishing with a plus-two rating. He's now got multiple points in back-to-back games, taking his tally for the year to 15 points. Toronto start a tough five-game road trip at the weekend in Boston, so they'll need Gardiner to keep producing. He's taking a three-game point streak to Saturday's game.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
