Chris Thompson Seeks Increased Workload Against Giants
6 years agoWashington Redskins running back Chris Thompson had an uneventful return to the field in Week 13, recording just six inconsequential touches. The Redskins could look to get him more involved in a Week 14 contest that may well determine the fate of their season. The Giants have allowed an NFL-worst six receiving touchdowns to running backs in 2018, along with 5.6 catches and 51.5 yards per game. It stands to reason that new quarterback Mark Sanchez won't exactly be chucking it down the field on Sunday, so Thompson could be in line for an uptick in targets out of the backfield. As such, he could serve as a relatively high-risk flex option in the somewhat tumultuous Redskins offense.
