Ben Roethlisberger Throws Two Scores, Injures Ribs
6 years agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completed 25 of his 29 pass attempts for 282 yards and two touchdowns in a Week 14 loss to the Oakland Raiders. Roethlisberger missed all of the third quarter and part of the fourth after injuring his ribs at the end of the second quarter, giving way to second-year signal-caller Josh Dobbs. The offense stalled under Dobbs and Roethlisberger re-entered the game with 5:20 left in the game, promptly connecting with JuJu Smith-Schuster for a one-yard touchdown. His ability to return to the game bodes well for his Week 15 availability but Roethlisberger's fantasy owners will want to have a backup plan, just in case. Pittsburgh will face the New England Patriots next.
