ANALYSIS: Kevin Knox was an incredibly fun player during Summer League, capturing the hearts of many with his hops and energy.

And, then...well, the start to his rookie year has been exactly easy. He missed some time with an ankle injury. He struggled to make a consistent impact. A three-game stint in the starting unit didn't last.

But Knox seems to be getting things together now, with a pair of 26-point games in his last five games. Over that span, the rookie is averaging 15.6 points per game along with 7.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists. He's shooting lower than you'd like (39.2 percent from the field) but his three-point shooting has been helpful, as he's making 2.2 per game on 36.7 percent shooting from deep.

Among players who are available in a ton of leagues, Knox may also be the one with the most upside at this point. The Knicks aren't a good basketball team, and Knox will only continue to see his role grow as the season wears along. He's already taking 14.8 shot attempts per game over those aforementioned past five games, but what if something like Sunday's 41-minute, 25-shot night becomes a more common part of Knox's game? The Knicks are a team in flux right now, with whispers that one of the team's go-to scorers, Damyean Dotson, is being mentioned in trade rumors. Knox's current level of production should remain in place as the season progresses because the Knicks can't afford to not give plenty of run to the promising rookie.
