The Detroit Lions Defense Could Shine Against The Bills
6 years agoThe Detroit Lions defense/special teams has the chance for a solid day on Sunday when they face off with the Buffalo Bills. Last week against Arizona, the Lions didn't allow a touchdown for the first time all season. In the victory, they also held the Cardinals to under 300 yards of offense. After starting off the season as one of the worst run defenses in the league, Detroit has held four of their last five opponents to under 100 yards rushing, with that one game coming from Todd Gurley. They have also forced at least one turnover in five of their last six games, so if they can get pressure on rookie quarterback Josh Allen, it could lead to a turnover or two. While the Lions will be without defensive end Da'Shawn Hand (knee) and defensive back Charles Washington (hamstring) this week, the matchup is right so it's just a matter of execution for this streaky defense.
