Frank Gore Won't Need Surgery, Eyes 2019 Return
6 years agoMiami Dolphins running back Frank Gore (foot), who was placed on injured reserve after suffering a foot sprain in Miami's 41-17 loss to Minnesota in Week 15, will not require surgery. Gore told reporters he hopes to return to Miami in 2019. Gore will be 36 by Week 1 of next season, but he's proven to be an effective rusher even with heavy mileage on his body. His 4.6 yards-per-carry was his highest since 2012 and the highest among running backs over 30-years-old. Gore would likely be welcomed back to Miami next season, and if not he could certainly find another team will to give him a chance in the preseason.
