No Offensive Support For Braden Holtby In Home Loss
6 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby (eye) allowed two goals on 25 shots in his return to the crease in Friday's 2-0 loss against the New York Islanders. It was his first action in nearly a week after suffering an injury to his left eye during a high-sticking incident last Saturday. He didn't allow any goals until the third period when left wing Josh Bailey broke the scoreless tie, and then right wing Cal Clutterbuck got him just a couple of minutes later. The Capitals have dropped a season-worst four in a row. They'll be back in action on Sunday afternoon in Chicago looking to get untracked.
