6 years agoColumbus Blue Jackets left wing Artemi Panarin and his camp have declined talk of a contract extension with the organization before the trade deadline, increasing the likelihood that he will be traded. His agent informed the club of the Russian winger's decision on Monday. Panarin has managed 19 goals with 53 points and a plus-10 rating with seven game-winning goals for the Jackets, so the impending contract situation hasn't had an effect on his play. Suitors will be ringing the phones off the hook trying to grab him before Feb. 25. He could potentially move to another organization higher in the standings, giving him a boost in the plus/minus rating, making his fantasy value even higher.--Daniel Dobish
