6 years agoCarolina Hurricanes goaltender Curtis McElhinney allowed just one goal on 26 shots in Tuesday's 4-1 road victory against the Ottawa Senators. He has posted three straight victories in the month of February posting a 1.96 goals-against average and .932 save percentage in his three starts. Overall he has a 14-6-1 record, 2.43 GAA and .917 save percentage, all well ahead of his career averages. He is getting a chance to at least share the No. 1 duties in Raleigh and he is certainly doing nothing to hurt his playing time. The Hurricanes return home on Friday night to face Edmonton. --Daniel Dobish
