Mikko Koskinen Falls Short In Friday's Road Loss
6 years agoEdmonton Oilers goaltender Mikko Koskinen allowed three goals on 27 shots in Friday's 3-1 road loss against the Carolina Hurricanes. Koskinen is expected to continue on as the team's primary starter, as the Oilers traded Cam Talbot to the Philadelphia Flyers for Anthony Stolarz in a goaltender swap on Friday. Koskinen started off fast this season, earning an extension from then-GM Peter Chiarelli, but the Finn backstop has tailed off lately. He remains nothing more than a low-end No. 2 fantasy netminder in pools of 12 or more teams.
