6 years agoCarolina Hurricanes goaltender Curtis McElhinney allowed just one goal on 41 shots in Friday's 3-1 home win against the Edmonton Oilers. He has posted eight victories over his past nine starts, and he improved to 15-6-1 with a 2.36 goals-against average and .920 save percentage. McElhinney is starting to pull away as the team's No. 1 starter, leaving Petr Mrazek to fight for scraps. Right now you can trust McElhinney as a low-end No. 2 fantasy backstop in most formats until he starts to cool off.--Daniel Dobish
