6 years agoCalgary Flames goaltender Mike Smith will be tending the twine on Saturday afternoon against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Smith was solid in his last outing, making 30 saves during a 3-2 shootout loss to the Florida Panthers on Thursday. The veteran netminder has stumbled his way to a 14-11-2 record this season to go along with an uninspiring 3.06 goals-against average and .891 save percentage. The strength of his team may buoy Smith in this contest, but the Penguins are a difficult matchup. They sit fifth in the league in goals per game (3.42) and have won back-to-back outings. Smith is a mid-tier fantasy play on a large Saturday slate.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
