6 years agoNew Jersey Devils goaltender Cory Schneider allowed just one goal on 35 shots in Sunday's 4-1 victory against the visiting Buffalo Sabres, picking up his second victory in three days after a lengthy winless drought. He turned aside 15 shots in relief of an ineffective Keith Kinkaid in Friday's overtime win against the Minnesota Wild, and he was helped out by a power-play goal and a shorthanded tally from his offense. The Devils will look to stay hot in Tuesday's game against the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins, and with Schneider's confidence increasing by the minute it wouldn't be surprising to see him in the crease again.--Daniel Dobish
