6 years agoCalgary Flames goaltender Mike Smith allowed two goals on 29 shots in Monday's 5-2 afternoon victory against the Arizona Coyotes. He improved to 16-11-2 with a 3.05 goals-against average and .892 save percentage. However, he has won seven of his past nine starts at home. Smith had fallen behind David Rittich midway through the season, but Rittich has been struggling lately while Smith is stepping up his game. The way Smith is going lately, it wouldn't be shocking to see Rittich nailed to the bench for Wednesday's game against the New York Islanders.--Daniel Dobish
