6 years agoNew York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist allowed just one goal while making 43 saves in Tuesday's 2-1 victory against the Carolina Hurricanes. He has won 21 of his past 25 starts against the Hurricanes. "We survived and he was a big piece of it," Rangers coach David Quinn said. "Boy, he had a real good night." It was a goaltender duel, as both teams have been pretty strong on offense, but the numbers were tamped down, including a scoreless first period. Lundqvist was also buoyed by the fact defenseman Brady Skjei (knee) returned to the lineup. The Rangers host the Minnesota Wild on Thursday.--Daniel Dobish
