Thomas Greiss Comes Up Short In Calgary
6 years agoNew York Islanders goaltender Thomas Greiss allowed four goals on 32 shots in Wednesday's 4-2 loss against the Calgary Flames in a battle of division leaders. Despite the loss, Greiss is still a very impressive 17-9-2 with a 2.26 goals-against average and a .928 save percentage. The 33-year-old German backstop has combined with Robin Lehner to give the Islanders some pretty amazing goaltending which no one was expecting this season. Next up for the Islanders is a trip up Alberta Route 2 (OK, they'll probably fly) to battle the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday.
