6 years agoEdmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid (illness) is still a question mark for Thursday's game against the New York Islanders. Head coach Ken Hitchcock said on Wednesday that he is "hopeful" that the captain will be an option for Thursday's game. With or without McDavid, the Oilers have struggled mightily. Center Leon Draisaitl picked up the slack with two assists in Tuesday's game against the Arizona Coyotes. If the Oilers are going to make a serious run at a playoff spot, a very tall order at this point, they need their top two starts healthy and producing.--Daniel Dobish
