6 years agoBuffalo Sabres center Sam Reinhart registered his third-career hat trick in Saturday's 5-2 victory against the Washington Capitals. He beat goaltender Braden Holtby with an even-strength goal midway through the first period to level the game 1-1, he then added a quick response in the third just 1:27 after Washington's Andre Burakovsky sliced the lead to 3-2 earlier in the period and then he capped off the hatty by finding the empty net with 56 seconds left to make the hats rain. Next up for Reinhart and the Sabres is a quick trip across the Peace Bridge and up the QEW to Toronto on Monday night.--Daniel Dobish
