6 years agoBuffalo Sabres goaltender Carter Hutton allowed just two goals on 33 shots in Saturday's 5-2 victory against the defending Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals. He allowed the NHL-leading 44th goal of the season to Alex Ovechkin, but yielded just one more goal after that one and never relinquished the lead after Jason Pominville and Sam Reinhart staked him to a 2-0 lead heading to the room after the first. The 33-year-old snapped a personal four-game losing skid, entering 0-3-1 with a 2.69 goals-against average and .912 save percentage. His skid has a lot to do with the fact the Sabres managed just six total goals of support in the previous four. Hutton remains a decent low-end No. 2 fantasy backstop in most formats.--Daniel Dobish
