Erik Karlsson Aggravates Groin Injury In Loss
6 years agoSan Jose Sharks defenseman Erik Karlsson (groin) aggravated his groin injury midway through Saturday's 4-0 loss at Columbus and he was unable to return. Head coach Peter DeBoer updated Karlsson's status after the game and indicated that the rearguard's timetable to return is unknown. The All-Star's wonky groin might compel the Sharks management to search the trade market for potential rearguards to bolster the defensemen corps. Perhaps someone like Adam McQuaid from the Rangers would be a nice fit. Fantasy owners holding stock in Karlsson will want to reserve him immediately, especially since the team has just a three-game schedule on tap in the upcoming week.
