Brian Dumoulin, Kris Letang Injured In Outdoor Game
6 years agoThe Pittsburgh Penguins lost defensemen Brian Dumoulin (concussion) and Kris Letang (upper body) to injuries in the Stadium Series outdoor game in Philadelphia on Saturday night, head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed after the game. The Pens were forced to play with just four rearguards for a good chunk of the third period and overtime, and the defensemen were gassed and likely contributed to the OT loss. The bad news is that the team lost two defensemen, but the good news is that the Pens can make a move before the NHL trade deadline on Monday to re-stock the cupboard. Perhaps they make a move for someone like Adam McQuaid from the New York Rangers, Alec Martinez of the Los Angeles Kings or perhaps Cody Ceci of the Ottawa Senators.
