6 years agoThe New Jersey Devils recalled forward Nathan Bastian, goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood, defenseman Egor Yakovlev and forward Michael McLeod from Binghamton of the AHL on Monday after a series of trades. Defenseman Eric Gryba cleared waivers and was assigned him to Binghamton. Defenseman Will Butcher (lower body) and forward Jesper Bratt (lower body) were also on the sidelines with injuries. Bastian scored his first NHL goal in the 2-1 victory, and forward Kurtis Gabriel notched his second. The Devils will have a bevy of young players playing hard for jobs, but most New Jersey players are only worth rostering in the very deepest of formats.--Daniel Dobish
