6 years agoCarolina Hurricanes goaltender Petr Mrazek allowed three goals on 34 shots in Saturday's 4-3 overtime victory against the Florida Panthers. He improved to 16-12-3 with a 2.60 goals-against average and .904 save percentage, including victories in each of his past four outings. He and Curtis McElhinney have been surprisingly effective, keeping the Hurricanes in the playoff chase. The duo have mostly been alternating starts, but as hot as Mrazek has been lately, it wouldn't be surprising to see him right back in the crease for Tuesday's game in Boston.--Daniel Dobish
