6 years agoFront Row Racing's Michael McDowell and Stewart-Haas Racing's Daniel Suarez had a physical altercation after qualifying on Friday at ISM Raceway. After the session, Suarez accused McDowell of holding up his Ford on an important lap near the end of qualifying. Later, Suarez attempted to wreck McDowell. The two met over the pit wall after in a heated exchange, grasping at each other. Suarez ended up slamming McDowell to the ground during the exchange before cooler heads prevailed. The good news is that McDowell goes off 27th and Suarez 28th in the TicketGuardian 500 on Sunday, so perhaps we haven't seen the last of these two tangling.--Daniel Dobish
