6 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby turned aside all 25 shots he faced in Saturday's 3-0 victory against the New Jersey Devils for his 35th career shutout. "Playing a team like them with a ton of injuries, you don't really know," Holtby said. His biggest save came in the first period when he robbed All-Star Kyle Palmieri. The 35th shutout ties former backup Olie Kolzig atop the franchise's shutouts list. The Capitals have won six straight victories, as they look like they're rounding into championship form just in the nick of time.--Daniel Dobish
