Justin Bour Scratched Due To Sore Knee
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels of Anaheim first baseman Justin Bour (knee) was scratched from the Cactus League spring game lineup on Sunday due to soreness in his right knee. It doesn't sound to be too serious, and was likely a precaution. Bour is expected to serve as the team's starting first baseman, and he'll likely see plenty of time in the designated hitter role, too, at least until Shohei Ohtani (elbow) is ready to play regularly. He appeared in a career-high 141 games last season with the Miami Marlins and Philadelphia Phillies, slugging at least 20 homers for the second straight season. This will be his first foray in the AL, and he should be a nice source of power, especially for home games which are power-friendly for left-handed hitters.
