DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (3/13/19): NBA DFS Lineups

There are six games on the slate with one game you clearly need to stack. The Warriors face off against the Rockets and while I think Steve Kerr holds back his rotations just slightly, it's still safe to run with most of the Warriors tonight. James Harden needs to be rostered, but DeMarcus Cousins and Steph Curry both carry a ton of upside tonight as well. The Hawks and Grizzlies game does not look enticing on paper but there is a ton of value throughout. Stack up on Mike Conley and Trae Young shares, but make sure you support those decisions with key value plays.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/13/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings.

You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. As always, don't set your lineups too early. Be sure to check all the NBA starting lineups and player statuses and availability prior to opening tip.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Tomas Satoransky - PG/SG, vs ORL ($6,100)

The Orlando Magic have struggled against opposing point guards for most of the season but have seriously turned it around recently. They still lack the tools necessary to defend against bigger guards like Tomas Satoransky, but they will find a way to keep this game close. The competitiveness of this game is where all the upside lies and both teams have equal upside, just in different areas.

Satoransky and Bradley Beal will carry the offense for the Wizards while Nikola Vucevic and Terrence Ross shoulder the weight for the Magic. There is value here, but since both teams have been inconsistent in where their top sources of production come from, I only trust a few players here.

Kelly Oubre Jr. - SG/SF, vs UTA ($6,200)

I don't have confidence in the Suns keeping this game close since this is a battle of the paces and slow teams tend to control the game. The Jazz are just a better team as it is and while they will win this game, Kelly Oubre Jr. has been playing like a superstar on a bad team. He is filling the stat sheet every night and even if he doesn't score like his usual self, he finds other ways to make contributions in the box score. The Jazz rank in the top five against opposing small forwards, but tonight I think their defensive focus lands on someone other than Oubre.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Andre Iguodala - SG/SF, at HOU ($4,000)

Andre Iguodala has not had very good games against the Rockets and for no reason other than he just doesn't hit his shots. He fills the stat sheet everywhere else and that gives me reason to believe he has upside tonight. When he finally does manage to score in coherence with his shot attempts, he is an automatic steal for DFS. Steve Kerr is a mad genius and while the Warriors have looked humbled this season, a lot of me believes that is because Kerr doesn't want to open the floodgates just yet. Tonight is no different, but expect a different rotation to be sent out there with Iguodala doing most of the facilitating.

Bobby Portis - PF/C, vs ORL ($6,200)

Since Bobby Portis' price is fairly high and the Magic's frontcourt defense is their strongpoint, this pick might not make much sense. While I don't think his work will be cut out for him, I think that's what gives him the edge. Portis tends to play better when less is expected of him and since rebounding is his best attribute, I expect him to emphasize positioning tonight. His role with the Wizards is pretty cemented by now, so while his production could use some consistency since those duds are terrifying, his usage is too high for me to bank on him posting one tonight.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Ed Davis - C, at OKC ($3,200)

There might not be a cheaper play that has this much upside. The Thunder continue to reign as one of the best defensive teams, but they rank in the bottom half against opposing big men. Steven Adams has been a force in the paint all season and while it's tough to target him based on his defense, his effort level has taken a slight step down. He plays more grounded defense that unfortunately allows skilled big men to get their shots off. Ed Davis isn't one of those skilled big men when it comes to touch, but when it comes to positioning and fighting for boards, there are few people that can compete with him.
