6 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Tommy Pham (shoulder) re-entered the Rays lineup as the designated hitter, batting second on Wednesday. The outfielder was scratched from the lineup on Sunday due to shoulder soreness. The Rays are hoping some rest will clear up the issue and expect that he’ll be back in the outfield sometime this week. While it doesn’t seem significant, injuries with Pham are something to keep an eye on. He missed some time in 2018 with a groin injury but managed to appear in a career-high 137 games. Through 25 spring training at-bats, Pham is hitting .400 with three doubles and has been caught stealing twice.--Zach Alexander
