Austin Meadows to See At-Bats Against Righties
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Austin Meadows is expected to hit at the top of the order against right-handed pitchers. This spring, he has hit them to the tune of .333/.391/.762 and two home runs. However, he will be battling Brandon Lowe, Ji-Man Choi and Joey Wendle for a lineup spot against lefties. If he can produce similar results to his line of .308/.362/.585 against lefties in 2018 (53 at-bats), he could be manager Kevin Cash’s choice to be the lefty bat in the everyday lineup. Meadows remains a sleeper with significant upside in fantasy drafts.
