Corey Crawford Leaves Game Due To Illness
6 years agoChicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford allowed just one goal on 18 shots through two periods in Wednesday's 5-4 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs. He didn't return for the third period, unable to continue due to illness. Connor Delia took over and allowed three goals on 29 shots in the final period, as the Leafs outscored the Blackhawks 3-0 to trim the lead to 5-4. However, Toronto never was able to tie it up, so Crawford was the goaltender of record. The Blackhawks are off until Saturday in Montreal for another Original Six matchup, so Crawford has a couple of days to get well.
