Rafael Devers Continues Strong Spring
6 years agoBoston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers finished 2-for-3 and scored once in Thursday's 4-4 tie with the Tigers. So far this spring, the 22-year-old leads his team with 13 hits in 11 games, including a home run, two doubles, and a triple, while also driving in four. However, the most important number is that he has struck out just four times in 29 at-bats. After having a K% just south of 25 in 2018, it's clear the third-year player has worked on his approach at the plate. He's spent a majority of his spring at-bats in the three spot, which in a lineup like Boston's, that is music to a fantasy owner's ears. Granted he can continue to limit the strikeouts, Devers should provide fantastic value in all formats, currently holding an ADP of 146.
