Matt Murray Falls Apart Late In Overtime Loss
6 years agoPittsburgh Penguins goaltender Matt Murray allowed two goals on 38 shots in Sunday's 2-1 overtime loss against the Philadelphia Flyers. He had his team ahead 1-0 with just 19 seconds left in regulation, but the Flyers emptied the net for an extra attacker and veteran James van Riemsdyk beat him to force overtime. Sean Couturier managed to slip one past Murray with just four seconds left in the extra session for a tough loss. Despite the loss he is still 9-5-3 with a 2.65 goals-against average and .924 save percentage in 17 starts since the All-Star break.
