6 years agoLos Angeles Angels of Anaheim starting pitcher Trevor Cahill will take the ball for the Opening Day start against the Oakland Athletics on Thursday, March 28. He knows the A's very well, as he spent the 2018 season in the Bay Area, going 7-4 with a 3.76 ERA and 1.19 WHIP across 20 starts and 21 appearances for Oakland. Fantasy owners shouldn't overvalue Cahill because of his newfound 'ace' status. Andrew Heaney (elbow) probably would be making the start if he wasn't hurt, or Tyler Skaggs (forearm) might have been tabbed if he didn't need a little more time to stretch out. Either way, Cahill's familiarity with the A's lineup makes him a worthy DFS option if you are looking to save some bread to spread across other parts of the lineup. In seasonal play, he is simply a low-end AL-only fantasy option.--Daniel Dobish
