Zack Greinke Draws Assignment For Opening Day
6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zack Greinke will make the start on Opening Day against the Los Angeles Dodgers on March 28. It is not yet known who he will be facing, but it won't be Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) or Walker Buehler. It is Greinke's third start in an opener in four season in the desert. He pushed back last season due to a groin injury. Greinke posted a 15-11 record with a 3.21 ERA in 33 starts last season, including a 3-1 mark with a 3.86 ERA and .235 opponent batting average with 28 strikeouts over 25 2/3 innings in four starts against Dodger Blue in 2018.
