Carey Price Comes Up Short In Overtime
6 years agoMontreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price allowed two goals on 40 shots in Sunday's 2-1 overtime road loss against the Carolina Hurricanes. Price was unstoppable early on, turning aside all 21 shots he faced in the first period. However, Trevor van Riemsdyk wired one past him with just 5:39 remaining in regulation to tie it up and force overtime before 18-year-old rookie Andrei Svechnikov beat him with a one-timer at 3:15 of the extra session. The Habs will look to bounce back on Tuesday against the Florida Panthers at Bell Centre.
