John Tavares Records First-Ever Four-Goal Game
6 years agoToronto Maple Leafs center John Tavares posted the first four-goal game of his career in Monday's 7-5 game against the Florida Panthers. He also finished with a plus-one rating and four hits in 18:56 of ice time. He now has 45 goals which is the most ever for a Maple Leafs player in their first season with the franchise. He is also just the fourth player in the past 20 years to notch four goals in a single game with the Maple Leafs. Tavares is now just three goals behind Washington's Alex Ovechkin for the overall league lead. He'll look to add to his total in Philadelphia on Wednesday.
