6 years agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (oblique) is progressing faster than expected from a left oblique strain that he suffered earlier in March. Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo said that Guerrero is "ahead of schedule" but will report to Triple-A Buffalo once he recovers from the injury. Montoyo also mentioned that Guerrero has started doing hitting drills in the batting cage. The top prospect in baseball was always likely to start the season in Triple-A due to the MLB's service time restrictions. The fact that he is ahead of schedule bodes well for fantasy managers who have drafted the young phenom as they can expect to see him up with the Blue Jays right around the start of May.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
