Peter Bourjos Makes Angels Opening Day Roster
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Peter Bourjos has made the Opening Day 25-man roster. As a result, Matt Thaiss, Wilfredo Tovar, and Roberto Pena have been sent down to the minors. Bourjos has made his rounds around the league for being a bench outfielder that can play some good defense, but has never been one to trust at the plate. He'll most likely be the first in line when Mike Trout or Justin Upton need a rest. Bourjos killed Spring Training, hitting .283 / .345 / .547 with 10 runs, 10 RBI, and three home runs, however, has a career .293 batting average in Spring Training. He's historically been unable to repeat his spring success in the regular season and therefore, holds no fantasy value going into the 2019 season.
