6 years agoToronto Blue Jays shortstop Freddy Galvis had a great day at the plate on Friday night as he went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored during a 6-0 win over the Detroit Tigers. He was 0-for-3 with a strikeout on Opening Day. The 29-year-old is more renowned for his defensive capabilities than his bat. Galvis posted a .248 average with the Padres last season to go along with 13 home runs, 67 RBI, and eight stolen bases. The biggest thing holding him back from having legitimate fantasy value is the fact that he is batting at the bottom of the lineup through the first two games of the year. If he managed to grab a leadoff spot, he would be a worthy depth option in deeper mixed leagues.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
