Nathan Eovaldi Labors Through Five Innings In Season Debut
6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi went five innings and surrendered six runs in the comeback 7-6 win over the Mariners on Friday night. The righty allowed eight hits, including three home runs, while also striking out and walking three each. However, he was spared a loss thanks in part to Mitch Moreland's pinch-hit three-run home run in the top of the ninth that gave the Sox the one-run advantage. If the Sox stay on this schedule, Eovaldi should toe the rubber again next Wednesday against the A's in Oakland.
