Tyler Flowers Starting Saturday, Batting Seventh
6 years agoAtlanta Braves catcher Tyler Flowers is starting on Saturday against the Philadelphia Phillies and will be batting seventh. The 33-year-old hit just .184 with three home runs and 15 RBI against RHP in 2018. The Braves went with Brian McCann on Opening Day but with two aging veterans, the team is probably going to evenly split starting the two to keep them fresh for the grueling season. Opposing the Braves on the mound is Nick Pivetta, who struck out right-handed hitters at a 28% clip in 2018 so Flowers isn't an afterthought for DFS and only presents any value if a lefty is on the mound.
