6 years agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Justin Smoak smacked a two-run shot in the fourth inning of Saturday's 3-0 win over the Detroit Tigers. He was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. It was the first home run of the season for the 32-year-old slugger. Smoak was unable to live up to his 2017 production, but he still managed to hit 25 HRs last season with 77 RBI and a .242 average. He is a reliable source of power numbers, although he strikes out a fair bit and generally carries a low average. Smoak is a top-20 option at first base in mixed leagues and should be owned in all formats.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
