6 years agoTampa Bays Rays starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow allowed one earned run on six hits in the Rays win over the Houston Astros on Saturday. He struck out four and walked only one en route to his first victory of the season over one of the best lineups in baseball. It’s encouraging that Glasnow got through this one allowing only one walk, as his walk rate was high in 2018 at 11.3 percent. A lower walk rate would mean a big step forward for the young righty. He’ll take the mound next Saturday against the San Francisco Giants, who have been struggling to get the bats going early this season. It will be a favorable matchup for Glasnow.--Zach Alexander
