6 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Jose Quintana made a rare relief appearance versus the Rangers on Saturday night. With starter Yu Darvish only able to go 2 1/3 innings, manager Joe Maddon decided to turn to Quintana over his bullpen arms. Quintana allowed two runs over four frames and gave up six hits, three walks and struck out eight. Quintana was scheduled to pitch on Wednesday versus the Braves, but there is a chance that his start may be pushed back.
