6 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman/outfielder Jay Bruce hit a no-doubt, three-run shot off of Red Sox starter Eduardo Rodriguez on Saturday night. He also drew a walk and scored twice to cap a 1-for-3 night. Bruce was off to a slow start before this game, as he started the year in a 1-for-15 slump. Hopefully this game turns it around for the 32-year-old veteran. He will remain in the middle of the M's lineup and should be able to accumulate good counting stats this season, although his average will likely suffer.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
