Jake Marisnick Has Home Run In Dismal Team Effort
6 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Jake Marisnick went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in the 3-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday. His two hits made up 66 percent of the offense, as the only other hit came off a Tyler White pinch hit. Otherwise, the offense was completely dominated by Yonny Chirinos, who cruised to a victory. Marisnick is hitting .429 on the year but has only seven at-bats, so the sample size is far too small to take seriously. He's never been much more than a defensive specialist for the Astros but if he takes a turn offensively, he could hold some value in a usually very powerful Astros lineup.
