6 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve has begun the season hitting .174 in his first 23 at-bats, including only two hits over his last 19 at-bats. Altuve has zero extra-base hits over his last five games after a promising two-hit performance on Opening Day. It is far too early for fantasy owners to panic but some trepidation has crept in after the former MVP battled a balky knee injury for most of last season. Altuve will look to get back on track Wednesday against the Rangers and left-handed starter Mike Minor. The 28-year-old hit .282 against left-handed pitching last season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
