6 years agoLos Angeles Angels catcher Jonathan Lucroy is off to a positive start in the early infancy of the 2019 season, racking up six hits through his first 18 at-bats. Lucroy's slugging percentage has been sliding downwards the past few seasons but was lauded by many in the A's organization for his handling of the pitching staff last season. The Angels are banking on that moxie behind the plate and Lucroy is the unquestioned starter moving forward. It is hard to envision Lucroy putting together a full season of above-average offensive play but, for now, can help fantasy rosters. The veteran backstop is worth a look in deeper leagues and AL-only leagues over the next week or so.--Joey C - RotoBaller
