Mookie Betts Leads Charge In Ninth-Inning Rally
6 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts' two-run double in the top of the ninth carried the Sox to a 6-3 comeback victory over Oakland on Wednesday. Betts finished 1-for-4 but drove in two, scored twice and also drew a walk. Boston trailed 3-0 after four innings, but they went on to score six unanswered, claiming victory. The reigning American League MVP is batting just .226 through the first seven games with one home run and three runs batted in. Manager Alex Cora recently shifted Betts back into the leadoff spot and he will hit there for the foreseeable future. With just one more game in Oakland, the Sox take on a young Diamondbacks rotation this weekend. Betts should continue to be a lock in your lineups and a premium option in DFS.
