Big Inning Dooms David Price On Saturday
6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher David Price went six innings and allowed four runs on seven hits while striking out four and walking one in a 5-4 loss to the Diamondbacks on Saturday. The southpaw's day wasn't all that bad except for a three-hit, four-run second inning by Arizona, giving them the 4-3 lead. Price has easily been the best Boston starter through the season's first 10 games, but the team still sits at 2-8. Boston has two days off in the coming week, so the 33-year-old is slated to start a game next weekend against Baltimore at home. It will be his first start in Fenway Park of 2019, where he had a 2.98 ERA and allowed a .281 wOBA last season, so he will be safe to fire up in all formats.
